Privacy Policy
9 to 5: Survive · Last updated: August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information the mobile game 9 to 5: Survive
("the App", "we", "us") collects, how it is used, and your choices. We designed the App to
collect as little as possible. The App does not require an account, an email address, or your
real name, and it does not show ads or use third-party advertising or tracking technologies.
Information We Collect
-
Badge name (username): A nickname you choose if you opt in to the community
leaderboard or post a scenario idea. You decide what this is - it does not need to identify you.
-
Gameplay results: Scores, runs completed, wins, and best streaks, used to
power the leaderboard when you choose to sync.
-
Submitted content: Scenario ideas you voluntarily write and submit, and the
ideas you "like". Submitted ideas are publicly visible to other players alongside your badge name.
-
Anonymous identifier: A random ID generated on your device and stored locally.
It is not linked to your identity, your Apple ID, your device's advertising identifier, or any
hardware identifier. It is used only to group diagnostic events from the same installation.
-
Usage and diagnostic data: Anonymous telemetry such as in-app event names,
the app version, the platform (e.g. iOS), timestamps, and error/crash details (error messages
and stack traces). This helps us find and fix bugs and understand how features are used.
We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera
data, health data, or your Apple ID. We do not use the App to track you across other companies'
apps or websites.
Where Your Data Is Stored
Game progress and the anonymous identifier are stored locally on your device. When you use the
community features (leaderboard, scenario ideas) or when diagnostic telemetry is sent, the
relevant data is transmitted to and stored by a third-party cloud database provider that hosts
our database on our behalf. Data is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.
How We Use the Data
- To operate community features such as the leaderboard and the scenario idea board.
- To diagnose crashes, fix bugs, and improve gameplay and stability.
- To understand which features are used so we can prioritize improvements.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Your Choices
- The App is fully playable offline without submitting any data to our backend.
- Leaderboard sync and idea posting are optional and only happen when you choose to use them.
-
You can request deletion of leaderboard entries or submitted ideas associated with your badge
name by using the contact form on our support page.
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal
information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we
will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by
updating the "Last updated" date above.
